Hi, I am interested in this appartment! I will be in Beijing from February 2009 to June 2009. Would the appartment be available? I will be a student at BEIDA (Gunghua School of Management). Will the location of the appartment make sense for me? Please contact me, so we can exchange more information.

Hi! I noticed on the Beijing map there are dining icons and numbers. Is there a list of restaurants to go with this map?

Thanks,

Dear Traveler,

Hi my name is Cristina Pena and I’m apart of American Public Media’s nationwide radio show called “Weekend America.” Every month we run a short piece on the various weekend photos we receive on our Weekend America Flickr. However, for the month of August, we would like to have a special “Olympics in Beijing” photo theme.
Currently, I'm looking for American travelers who will be in Beijing during the Olympic Summer Games. From what I understand you will be attending some of the athletic practices. We would love to hear about your experience and the photos you will be taking.
If you are interested in sharing your Beijing Olympic story, or know of anyone else traveling to Beijing during the Olympics, please contact me at cpena@americanpublicmedia.org or 213.621.3523 x 523
Thank you.
Here is a link to give you an idea of what we do!

I'm thinking about heightened security measures pre-Olympics, and for a hiker planning on visiting Changbaishan in next few weeks, any idea on whether camping will be allowed inside the park?

Thanks

Hi, Thanks for all of the information. I did want you to know that when I try to look at the "map of Beijing" link (your map), I get the following text in the browser: "The image “http://beijingexpert.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/02/mapbeijing.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors."
Happy Spring Festival!

Thank you FJ for your comment. There is a book called "The Memory Palace of Matteo Ricci" by Jonathan D. Spence. You can find the book on Amazon.com Dr. Spence is a great expert on Chinese history. I have read several of his books. (not this one yet)
